Silk Paintings
Silk paintings are not silk screen prints, they actually are paintings on silk using silk fabric dyes. Some of the paintings are ‘wax resist’ which means that they have been drawn in hot wax with a tainting, the traditional tool for batik.
 Erin
The dyes do not ‘take’ where there is wax and after they are dry the wax is ironed off on to paper leaving a white line. The original silk paintings may be purchased on line when available or commissioned from the artist by arrangement. The prints from the silk paintings and watercolours are personally signed by the artist, mounted in ivory coloured card ready for framing and protected by a cellophane wrapper. All sizes refer to artwork mounted and ready for framing
